Hout Bay

Wharfside Grill @ Mariners Wharf

Hout Bay´s Mariner´s Wharf, Africa´s first harbour front emporium, consists of a Seafood Bistro, Wine Store, Fishmarket & nautical Gift & Curio Shops. It´s open 7 days a week. The restaurant, Wharfside Grill, is internationally renowned & as it straddles the Wharf´s famous fishmarket, diners are assured of the freshest ocean fare. With authentic harbour ambience, stunning views across the bay & dining cabins themed to famous ships, the Grill´s food is a delicious extra. Tons of Lobster, Prawns, Calamari & Kingklip are consumed annually, & if any seafood place is worth visiting, this is it!

Dinner at Mandela´s - this is a cultural experience as well as a dining one. They offer cultural tours to Imizama Yethu township in Hout Bay for an evening of dinner & entertainment (dancers & choir). Transport is provided to take you in & out of the township & you will be tapping your feet & singing your way home.

Comida lies at the foot of Chapmans Peak Drive. Comida is a celebration of food; great food; adventurous food; wholesome food; food prepared with passion & care; food using only the fresh ingredients; food that expands your boundaries; food as a teacher; food that takes you places; food that brings you back here; again & again. Enjoy panoramic views of the Bay & the Sentinel, while sipping on a cocktail watching the sun go down. Also very popular for thin based pizzas with exotic toppings!

The Chapmans Peak Hotel is tucked into the foot of Chapman´s Peak Drive, & has become the grand old lady of outdoor seafood restuarants in Cape Town, with decades of worldwide reputation for its famous calamari & seafood.

This famous Hout Bay establishment was the originator of the 'seafood-in-a-pan' concept & is still very much in demand for languid Sunday lunch to be enjoyed on the Terrace on a sunny day or in the warmth of the spacious Dining Room on a chilly day. The large sun-drenched terrace, with breath-taking views of the bay, beach is a popular spot with locals & the movers-&-shakers alike.
